Golduck Review

As you all know, Golduck is my favorite Pokemon. Golduck is a Gen I Pokemon and number 55 in the National Pokedex. He is the duck Pokemon with and can swim faster and more dynamically than an Olympian swimmer. He has well-developed limbs and flippers with three sharp claws on each hand. He is also the color blue and has red eyes with a red gem on his forehead with four spikes on the back of his head. The gem on Golduck's forehead glows when he uses his psychic powers and occasionally when he is swimming at full speed. Golduck is often mistaken for the Japanese monster, Kappa.

Golduck's stats are around 80. His highest stat is his Sp. Atk, which is 95.

He can have the ability Damp, which prevents Pokemon from Selfdestructing. It's a really good ability to have because if you happen to find a shiny Pokemon that has the move Selfdestruct or Explosion (our worst nightmare), Golduck can prevent it! Golduck can also have Cloud Nine as an ability. It prevents the effects of weather, similar to Rayquaza's ability Air Lock.

Golduck is best paired with an electric type in double battles. Why? Because he can learn Soak. Soak has the power to change the target's type to a pure water type. And you know the rest.

If double battles aren't your thing, Golduck can still hold his own in single battles. Golduck only has 2 weaknesses, which are grass and electric types. Golduck is an awesome Pokemon to have in single battles because he can counter grass types with Blizzard/Ice Beam and electric types with Dig! He can also learn Shadow Claw to knock out psychic types, which could be a pain if they aren't knocked out quickly.

Golduck will always be my favorite Pokemon ever. ^^
